Let GLäZENFYRE: A PAINT-IT-YOURSELF POTTERY STUDIO, take you and your scout group through the wonderful world of contemporary ceramics. Following guidelines featured in scout handbooks, we have created our acclaimed From Mud to Masterpiece program to help the scouts achieve the goals necessary to attain their ceramics, arts or clay badges.

 

The Mud to Masterpiece Program includes:

¨ Study various types of clay, molds and glazes.

¨ Learn some of the possible jobs or hobbies involved in the ceramic industry.

¨ Work with clay and create magnets, chimes or ornaments.

¨  Learn about the process of firing clay and greenware.

¨ Learn about design and underglaze applications.

¨ Learn the process of glazing & firing finished ceramics.

¨ Tour our kiln room.

 

Scouts who complete the program will receive:

¨ 1- 2 Clay pieces ready to paint

¨ One finished 4” tile

¨ Exclusive Glazenfyre “Mud to Masterpiece”  patch.

 

The program takes 1.5 hours to complete and costs $12 per person.

Scout leaders are welcome to participate.
